Tidal Town Hall to be held at Woman's Club
Tidal town halls are your chance to ask candidates what they are going to do about sea level rise and flooding.
The event is Monday, October 29, from 6:30-8:30 pm, at the Woman's Club and is co-sponsored by the Woman's Club, CLEO Institute, Catalyst Miami, Miami Waterkeeper, and Miami Climate Alliance.
Miami-Dade is ground zero for sea level rise smart, equitable solutions are needed.
This is an opportunity for you to hear ideas for solutions to Sea Level Rise and other related topics directly from candidates running for public office, so that you can make an informed choice at the polls. Candidates for office at all levels of government, from Congress to Florida’s state legislature, to local municipal positions will be asked to discuss their plans for action to protect Floridians from the risks inherent in rising seas at these nonpartisan forums.
Pre-event reception: 6:30-7 pm.
