6th Annual Woody Stock Concert is Nov. 16

The 6th Annual Woodystock Benefit Concert is back Thursdayy, November 15,  three weeks away. The free concert supports the main focus of the Foundation: The Woody Pack Project.

The foundation gives backpacks with a collection of assistive devices to people living with paralysis who have limited hand functioning. The items help provide the tools for people to become more independent in their everyday life activities.

"We are also excited to announce that the concert is being held on Give Miami Day, a city wide philanthropic day. In 2018 we have shipped out over 120 bags all over the US as well as a handful of international packages," says Lucy Foerster, Executive Director of The Woody Foundation.

The line up includes: Ripcord from Young Musicians Unite, Rusty and The Butlers, and Problem Kids.

The event is from 6 to 10 pm at Zest Miami (200 S. Biscayne Blvd).

The Woody Foundation was founded in 2011 to raise funds and increase awareness for those with paralysis. In January of that year, the Foundation’s namesake, James “Woody” Beckham was injured in a rugby match, an injury that left him a quadriplegic. Since then they have raised over $1.5 Million to help those with paralysis.
