Daybreaker MIA presents Groovy Grove

They're dancing on a little piece of history. Join Daybreaker MIA for Groovy Grove at The Barnacle for an unforgettable morning.

On Saturday, September 29, meet in the heart of Coconut Grove for a 1960s shindig. You’ll inhale nature and exhale magic. Lizzy Chiappy of Casa Vinyasa will kick off the morning with a connective yoga flow, and in true Daybreaker spirit they’ve got mischief aplenty up their groovy sleeves.

Being in nature is a natural mental health booster. Early morning light and fresh air impact our endocrine system by releasing hormones that give our brains the happy feels.

Each ticket will include a copy of the community book, BELONG ($20 value) BELONG was written by Daybreaker Mama Bear, Radha Agrawal. In this book she shares all the Daybreaker secrets for how they created their dream community (that’s YOU!) and how you can do it too.

Yoga is from 10 am to 11 am and then from 11 am to 1 pm, it's party time featuring Dude Skywalker, yoga tunes and  guest set by EQ.

Tickets are here: https://www.daybreaker.com/event/september-29/

Promo code “coconutgroove” can be used for a 20% discount

The Barnacle is located at 3485 Main Highway.

Sure, it great to get up early before work to move about, exercise, get the heart going, breath in some fresh air, experience comradery, togetherness, and the group. It's as good as some early morning AM game show where everyone must wear a costume, wave their hands in the air, dance about, yelling, screaming, and smile from cheek to cheek and expose those big white pearlies. They're all suppose to be happy for a while and then go back to whatever it was that made them come together. I know, I've seen numerous pictures where the entire Chinese countryside/people are up and about as the sun rises, all doing their daily exercise. And of course that is good, not bad. But, when those who create these venues want money in order for others to participate in order to feel some degree of benefits, when it's over most are still alone, to go home and live the life that made it seem the pitch made by the organizer(s) attractive and drew them in to this concept of comradery, so the organizer could earn a living. Make money, money is the name of this game. If you have to pay for comradery it won't do you any good because you still have to live with yourself.

Whoever left this comment is in a very dark place. Good vibes and energy your way, you definitely need it. Kudos to the organizers of this event for creating a concept that promotes positivity, community and health.
Perfect fit for Coconut Grove!

On the contrary anon 9:20, reality is never ever a dark place. Reality is true enlightenment for those who brave the journey. For example: have you ever notice those individuals who have passed on, both famous and unknowns? Every single one of them are always described as decent, GOD fearing, great Mother's & Father's, friends, community and church goers, the pillars of all humanity, really? Someone, someone's loved one has an accident, resulting in a back injury, or brain damage, and usually a family member comes out and starts a not for profit, where the most they can earn is $100,000.00 annually, or they start a charity or crowd funding program to get drunk drivers off the road, or find a cancer cure or a safer seat belt, to which they never gave a thought before said loved one was injured. Do U really believe all those people who exploit healthy products; weight loss, slim bodies got that way using those toxic harmful deadly products? Ignorance & stupidity is the dark side. You can't make money getting up every morning, run and get those morphine/endorphins going and make a buck, likewise for yoga, or getting hooked on coffee/cigarettes/marijuana to make you believe you're cool. The vast majority are lonely, boring, incipit pig, cattle and sheep with a nose ring being pulled along by some fad where those who are subject to the lonely crowd & lonely companionship of the crown, who after all is said and done must go home and live with themselves. I say learn to live with yourself first and then perhaps others will enjoy your company. Jobie Steppe

Jobie, I’m trying to find your point as it relates to this event? Love is true enlightenment, for those who brave the journey. If you choose to not want to participate in an event that gathers the community for a day of exercise, dance and connecting with others who share similar passions, that’s ok. But why comment on this article with negativity accusing the organizers of taking advantage of the weak minded because they decided to monetize their event? It’s a non-profit organization and most of the people helping put it together volunteer their time and energy. Dan Travieso

Yes Mr. Travieso, I would hazard the guess that you have never attended a Daybreaker event/activity or read their Terms & Conditions. I suggest you take a peek. Better yet have your attorney review Daybreaker's Terms and Agreements. IF you agree with their Terms & Agreements - - - -hold that thought - - - - remember the founder of Facebook at the congressional hearing, or many other social media platforms, namely privacy issues? Sign on to Daybreaker's Terms & Conditions and you literally sell your soul and will have to pay Daybreaker to breath air. They specifically state no one under 18 allowed and refer to United States Federal Code concerning child protection, and that they are not responsible should anyone under 18 who may, or may not realize harm from any and all stuff related to Daybreaker, and they may use any and all data subscribers submit signing on to their Terms & Condition. Daybreaker has disdain for attorney's who get in their way. And I'm only referring to about 1/2 of one percent of their rules. Hell, you could end up owning these people, according to their terms and conditions,$20,000.00. Their appeal, in my opinion is to set their hook, line & sinker into folks who are, more or less, lonely. They're going to show lonely people how to dress up in costumers, run around, literally run around waving and shaking their arms and hands/exercise and move about, like in the picture here in the Grape with those Elton John sunglasses, and they guarantee each and everyone happiness!? And then everyone leaves, go home or to work, and are stuck with themselves, all alone. These pay as you go GET HAPPY SCHEMES are harmful to fragile people. That's my take, but read Daybreakers Terms and Conditions and then ask an attorney if it wise to sign. These Terms & Conditions are not designed to create happiness, closer to enslavement than joyful happiness and gleeful fellowship. Just another snake oil salesman. Jobie Steppe

Daybreaker's Terms and Conditions are similar to illegible small print that disclaims anything and everything they advertise. Packing lonely people together, for profit, to guarantee a feel good happy go-lucky state of mind is as old as Methuselah, and happy hour. Daybreaker's are vocal against drugs & alcohol, but what drug addict or alcoholic is going to rise & shine in the early A.M., to pay and attend early morning yoga and gym classes. Daybreaker's 40 pages of Terms and Conditions are bizarre and totally one sided, they get everything & their clients are guaranteed happiness - - - - for a price. In their Terms & Conditions, Daybreaker's peace keeper bouncer enforcers can literally "throw you out for no reason at all". Fines and charges are astronomical & issued similar to those issued from red light camera's and toll roads. A small price to pay for a happy go-lucky state of mind.

Pete, you seem to agree that Daybreakers preying upon lonely sad individuals, for profit is indeed a very, very, very DARK & DANK business model. These comments, which you agree are DARK are taken directly from Daybreakers Terms and Conditions contract agreement. I became intrigued by this story and comments and read their Terms and Conditions, which you agree are DARK. You have read their Terms and Conditions, right?

Fun is as important as health, children, exercise, food, sunshine, friendship, love, compassion, etc., etc., and etc... A profile can be made by listening to a person talk, or read their writings, or observe them talking with others. For example Daybreaker uses catch words. The founder writes "come to our shows and you will experience reckless, mischievous abandon". Mischievous is described as "what children do". But, Daybreaker bands everyone under 18. They band children and quote a Federal Statute/Law as their motivation, and if you take the time, as I did, to read their 40 to 60 pages of "Terms & Conditions", you'll feel the force of a magnet specifically designed to attract desperate mental cases with an extreme specific need for companionship & inclusion resulting from loneliness. Otherwise, Daybreaker is just another early morning exercise routine, if it were not for their extremely elaborate "Terms & Conditions" contract. This contract is much, much to elaborate and financially sophisticated for adult people who actually believe an invitation to act out as children with mischievous reckless abandon will result in HAPPINESS. I loved playing football in grade school, high school and the U.S. Army. Thank goodness I was to small for collage football. For me football was an exercise in reckless mischievous abandon running head first & full speed into other boys. 55 years later I can still remember about 5 really harsh violent extreme clashes, body contacts, hurt. If you read everything, I mean everything about Daybreaker, in my opinion if you get sucked in, taking it serious your psychological well being will be harmed just like some football player, who plays in college, semi-pro or professional football. History proves there can be no escape as to damage and harm. You'll feel okay for a while, but the harm will add up. Daybreakers application for employment & volunteers mentally compels lonely & desperate people to sign their "Terms & Conditions". And once signed you are locked in. And they openly state forget about hiring an attorney. You can't get into anything at Daybreakers without signing up.
