Sonesta to become a Best Western
They close on Monday and in about 90 days the name will change, but not to Best Western but to "Hotel Aria," a subsidiary of Best Western.

Sort of like the Doubletree that became a Courtyard? And now.... It's just sitting there, gutted. Any news on when or if it will reopen?

Hasn't everyone been complaining that too many businesses targeting high end customers are moving in and destroying our "village" fee? Everyone got their wish. Welcome to our "village" best western.
that is a really good observation...long time grove resident..[33 years] and have seen it all....Best Western? Awesome..Why not? I remember when the Cheesecake Factory opened here and everyone thought well that's it, the Grove is lost.And what happened? The Cheesecake become a Cheers type bar for a lot of us locals...I enjoy the Sonesta bar and restaurant now as do several of our out of town guests...Im sure the new owners will continue the property in the same direction of keeping it "GROVE STYLE"....Bill Day
I have to go to Key West every few weeks for one or two days for work and we have a deal with the Best Western Key Ambassador Resort close to the airport and across the street from the ocean. Its a very well run vacation property, beautiful place but not snobby or over the top b.s. fakey fakey smarmy pampering like a lot of the ersatz "luxe" places come across.
I welcome the Best Western brand to the Grove, don't mix it up with an interstate motel type operation.
In theory no better or worse than a Sonesta type hotel. Variety is good!
The Walmart of hotels is best Western.
OK where do we fit Dollar General? How about somewhere between Green Street Cafe and Taurus? Front of the Playhouse.
