Arts Festival Gallery to present student awards

On Saturday, May 5, the Coconut Grove Arts & Historical Association Scholarship Program will recognize 20 talented art students from Miami-Dade County by presenting a $1,000 scholarship to each of the graduating seniors, the program starts at 7 pm.

The presentation will take place during the opening reception of the First Impressions exhibition showcasing the works of this year’s Scholarship recipients as part of the arts festival’s Gallery @ CGAF exhibition series. The Gallery @ CGAF is located at 3390 Mary Street in Mayfair-in-the-Grove.

Assisting with the selection process of this year’s award recipients is the Fund 4 Design and Art Education, an organization created and maintained by retired arts educators across the County. The organization has assisted the Arts Festival in selecting some of the county's best arts students since 2013.

The scholarship award presentation is open to the public. Refreshments will be served. The Gallery @ CGAF is open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. and by appointment. For more information about the Gallery @ CGAF, please visit www.cgaf.com.
