A Poetry Zine making workshop for Kids

A free, drop-in art class exploring the creative techniques behind making zines, led by Steve Saiz and other artists from Miami’s Dalé Zine community at Coconut Grove’s Shake-a-leg will take place Saturdays in April.

These workshops are completely free of charge, and no previous experience is needed to participate.

Materials will be provided, but participants should bring any and all pre-existing drawings, photographs, collage materials, etc. that they want to include in their zines.

Workshops will be filled on a first-come basis, so show up early to reserve a spot.

All Classes are led by poet Jeff Sanford, artists Steve Saiz and Lillian Banderas.

Saturdays, April 7, 14, & 28, 1 pm.
hosted by O, Miami Poetry Festival,
when during the month of April,
our community engages with a poem

* on street corners, when poetry adorned paper flowers will be distributed by vets on busy street corners during rush hour
* at a pajama party, on a dollar bill, on a gas pump
* on the screen when Flaming Classics screens a queer film screening & poetry experience @ Young Arts's Jewel box
* on a boat, at a pirate-themed reading
