FAM Night is Saturday
Blue Glaze by Terry Kaplan. |
Stop by the Coconut Grove Arts Festival Gallery from 7 to 10 pm for the closing reception of Terry Kaplan's work, featuring, "Finding the Past in the Present."
"After 30 years of working with clay, I am now focusing on my love of vintage textiles and photography. I am creating work that stimulates me and can evoke a sense of appreciation and interest from the viewer," says Terry. "My pieces juxtapose exquisitely intricate details of old findings, fabrics, trims and beads. These materials are put together in a unique and unexpected way combining both past and present."
The gallery is at the Mayfair Atrium, near the bull sculpture.
The FrameWorks gallery at 3196 Commodore Plaza has a solo exhibit by Elysa D. Bastista called, "Scopic Ciphers." Stop by from 6 to 9 pm.
