Cider Fest brings out the crowds despite the rain
Kush Hospitality and Spillover presented the In-Cider Fest, the first one of its kind here and it won't be the last according to owner Matt Kuscher.
The Cider Fest reminded me of a mini Grovetoberfest, which is coming back to Peacock Park this fall, if you haven't heard! We now have these great craft beer/cider festivals right here in Coconut Grove.
Guests at the Cider Fest enjoyed free samples of cider and mead from five Florida Cideries and Meaderies including the winner of "best beer" at Hunahpu's Day 2017, Garagiste Meadery. Very smooth taste. Loved it.
There was live music and raffles and games. Admission was free. Tents were set-up around the Spillover area and luckily the rain stopped during the festival, which was from 2 to 7 pm.
I haven't seen so much activity in the Mayfair Promenade for a long time. It felt like the days when there was always something going on there. It was a lot of fun. And I'm sure very appreciated by the community. It felt like a little taste of Wynwood came to Coconut Grove.
