Dade Heritage Trust names winners, losers
In the Grove the Mariah Brown House at 3298 Charles Avenue is on the list, along with the Office in the Grove, at 2699 Bayshore Drive.
I was pleased to see that the Coconut Grove Playhouse was not on the list. Miami Marine Stadium is on the list, but I'm not sure why, unless it is because the stadium itself is being saved, but at the cost of the whole surrounding area being turned into a circus. Dollar signs are seen by developers, and the City of Miami.
The Woman's Club of Coconut Grove was called "a winner," on the list.
And Grovite Joyce Nelson was called a "winner" for her activism in having the Grove's historic markers installed around the village.
The whole county list and photos can be seen at Community Newspapers' site here.

The Mariah Brown House is not endangered. That's because what's there is an exact replica of the Mariah Brown House, nit the original house.
Just like the E.W.F. Stirrup House several doors to the east.
