'Tardigrada' sculpture by Gustavo Oviedo
There is an art installation at Plaza Street and Williams Avenue by artist Gustavo Oviedo. It's called "Tardigrada." It's spray paint wood, house paint and acrylic markers. That's Sabina with the bicycle.
The temporary sculpture was erected to bring life back to these empty lots and for neighbors to enjoy. The wood that is part of the project will be used in the construction of a new home which will be built on the lot.
Gustavo has 20 years experience painting murals and he was given the opportunity to improvise this mural. His inspiration is nature and digital media.
