Join the new pop-up farmers market
Although Taste of the Grove is different. "It's not a farmers market, but rather a prepared Foods Market like what you see in New York. The University of Miami and the Knight Foundation are developing the site with containers and a lot of artistic features to hold a permanent Market there. Since I'm coordinating the marketers, we will be having vendors from in the Grove and around the Grove to showcase the flavors of Coconut Grove in Miami. I would love for this to become a site for tourists and locals alike to try authentic Foods," says Nick Bernal of Season Farm Fresh.
"We will have a bar live music very similar to what they've done at the Wynwood yard but more Coconut Grove Centric," he says.
Join the community Saturday, March 11 from noon to 4 pm to get an idea of the program. This "permanent" pop-up is what the Grove needs. If you are interested in becoming a vendor at the market, which is slated to open at the beginning of April, stop by on Saturday. It's at the Thelma Gibson Center, 3634 Grand Avenue.
