CraveClean Protein Bake Shop is opening Monday, December 12, at 3012 Grand Avenue, that's next to Soles sneaker store.

Some of you may know them from their first location at 3822 SW 8th Street. 

CraveClean believes in the power of clean eating. According to Francesca Morello, the owner, you will recognize every ingredient in their baked goods. "We pride ourselves on bridging the gap between fitness and foodies."

I met with Francesca and friends, Chrissy and Melissa and they showed me around the new place. It's bright, clean and full of promise. The menu looks delicious and they have a lot of coffee and teas along with the baked goods.

All their items are loaded with protein and have less than 2g of sugar, they are low in calories and carbs. There are no additives or preservatives used.

They have just about everything from doughnuts to cupcakes, brownies, muffins, cookies and cakes.

I checked out the extensive menu, there are so many choices under different categories like Cupcakes, Brownies, Cookies, Donuts and Cake Pops. For instance cupcakes consist of black and white, blueberry, mocha, peanut butter cup, pecan, smores, red velvet and so many more. 

The prices are $3.75 for a single cupcake, $20.50 for six; $29.95 for nine; $39.95 for 12.

Brownies start at $3.95 for one, Cake Pops are $3.00. 

Francesca got tired of eating unhealthy protein bars and shakes and started experimenting in her own kitchen and the rest is magic. 

Daniella Morello, head of marking told me, "We will be adding a few more breakfast items as this new location has many men and women working in the area that could use a quick, healthy, high protein breakfast, items for example, like our Proats (oatmeal packed with protein and the toppings of your choice)."

Crave Clean will be open 7 days. I don't have the hours of operation, yet, but look for them Monday, December 12.
