Celebrating the Goombay Festival in Key West

The Coconut Grove Advisory Committee (CAC) of Miami-Dade County Community Action and Human Services Department is once again sponsoring a bus trip to Key West for the Goombay Festival on Saturday, October 22. The festival is part of the island's annual 10-day Fantasy Fest, and will feature entertainers, vendors purveying Bahamian food and art, and the Junkanoo parade.

Tickets are $50.00 per person and may be purchased from any CAC member. Bus will depart at 8:00 am from parking lot of St. James Baptist Church, 3500 Charles Avenue in Coconut Grove and will leave Key West at 10:00 pm.

Please call Harvette Chapman at 786-877-6457 or Linda Williams at 786-975-8058 for more information. All proceeds will benefit the committee's fund for the scholarships awarded each summer to college-bound high school graduates.
