Free bike valet offered for 4th of July fireworks

No worries if you plan on going to the July 4th fireworks show in Peacock Park, you won't have to think about finding parking if you ride your bike over because Bike Coconut Grove will be manning the bike valet where you can leave your bike for safe keeping and go off then and have a good time.

For the second year in a row, Bike Coconut Grove is offering the bike valet free of charge. It’s similar to any other valet parking. You leave your bike, you receive a ticket, the bike valets park your bike and watch over it while you’re at the event, and at the end you show your ticket and retrieve your two-wheeled transport. Look for the “bike corral” halfway down MacFarlane Rd. on the right, just below the entrance to the dirt road into the park. If you want to be early and picnic, get there by 6 pm and mark your spot.

The fireworks start at 9 pm. Biking there can be half the fun. And don’t forget to bring your lights for the trip home.
