Annual Literary Jazz Brunch at Ritz Carlton

Once again Footprints Foundation presents its Annual Literary Jazz Brunch to help reduce maternal and infant mortality by training doctors and nurses in best obstetrics practices and newborn resuscitation in Jamaica and Africa. Monies from this fundraiser also support the free prenatal classes for mothers and fathers in Homestead, Naranja and Florida City. The event is a the Ritz Carlton Coconut Grove on Saturday, April 16 from 11 am to 3 pm.

This year's event will feature three authors M.J Fievre, "A Sky the Color of Chaos"; Amina Gautier, "The Loss of All Lost Things"; and Ana Menendez, "Adios Happy Homeland."

Two female jazz performers, Roxanne Amed and first time in the United States Angola's number one Jazz Performer Afrikkanitha, will perform, followed by a Caribbean After Party by DJ Maji.

Women will be given makeup tips from Leslie Munsell, owner Beauty for Real, Makeup Artist to the stars.

Moderating the event, Nancy Ancrum form the Miami Herald.

West Elm Midtown is designing a set just for the occasion.

The event boast a marketplace with Books and Books, Artconnection Jewelry for him and her,Desert Sage Soy Candle, Angel Bags from South Beach Icon, Irene Marie. 

This is one spectacular  event with 100 % of the proceeds going  to save the lives of mothers and babies.
