'A Midsummer Night's Dream' stage reading

In conjunction with Shakespeare companies across the globe, Shakespeare Miami is holding a midnight Staged reading of A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Barnacle Historic State Park on Saturday, April 23. For some reason, Shakespeare at The Barnacle always seems to go together. There's something about being out at night, on the big back lawn, surrounded by nature that just brings Shakespeare to life.

This is a costumed staged reading with a full cast of professional actors. The Barnacle's gates will open at 11:00 pm and the show will start at the stroke of midnight.  ]It will last approximately one hour and forty-five minutes.

There will be chairs for rent for $3, or bring your own. The event is free with a suggested donation of $2 per person, which goes towards the Barnacle's ongoing restoration work.

For more information you can call the Barnacle at 305-442-6866

The Barnacle Historic State Park is located at 3485 Main Highway.

There are also two other shows of this staged reading: April 23 at 2:00 pm at the Sherman Library at NSU in Ft. Lauderdale, and April 24 at 6:00 pm at Pinecrest Gardens.
