It's the age old question - bikes or cars - i.e. bikes vs. cars and on Wednesday, March 16, Bike Coconut Grove is presenting an exclusive Miami screening of an award-winning 2015 documentary called, “Bikes vs. Cars,"  by director Fredrik Gertten. The movie shows how five major world cities are dealing with traffic and congestion.

The screening, a benefit for Bike Coconut Grove, will be at the Cinepolis Cinemas in Cocowalk, beginning at 7 pm, with a pre-screening party in the theater’s café area. The tax-deductible ticket price of $20 includes refreshments and beer or wine. For a limited time only seats are available at the special early bird price.

"The movie also explores the politically corrupt flow of money from car manufactures like BMW who not only provides free cars to political parties in Germany, but apparently paid almost $1 million to German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s Democratic Party just days before European environment ministers blocked an agreement to cap car emissions," says Trey Richardson in Bike Rumor.
If you want to see how other cities are solving (or not solving) their traffic problems, this lively, controversial film tells their story. An added bonus will be the Q&A session at the conclusion of the film moderated by Andre Viglucci of the Miami Herald and Ray Fort of  Arquitectonica.

There’s only one way to buy tickets: online and in advance. Go to the Bike Coconut Grove website to purchase your tickets here now.
