Absolutely LOVE this festival. It doesn't gouge with its entrance fee and doesn't close streets. The Artists' exhibits are top caliber and the food vendors are amazing. If you can only "do" one art festival that weekend? I recommend THIS one.
Sidewalk Salads is the best
I spend most of Arts Fest weekend at St Stephens. Shady, Casual, artist are friendly and staff is kind. Love that place
The St Stephens Art Fair is the closest we have to a human scale Art Fair like that of Beaux Art Fair at the U of M. It reasonably priced art, affordable food, shade, ability to chat with artists, doesn't feel like cattle being drives to the slaughterhouse and that charming cozy Tea Room is the best. But the most significant aspect of the St. Stephens Art Fair is that Monty Trainer has not been able to convince them to be bought out like the Woman's Club, so he can continue his monopolistic cash cow that is not accountable to the public.
