SEB Mattress - high quality right here in the Grove

There's a new mattress business, conveniently located at the corner of Douglas and Grand, it's SEB Mattress, a family-owned business that specializes in offering regular and customized mattresses for the home, boat and RV. The two brothers that own and operate it, Sebastian and Andres Jimenez opened their first store in Florida City in 2011 with a really simple concept in mind: “make the experience of buying a mattress as easy as falling asleep on one."

Their second store (first one is in Florida City), which opened in late November at 3701 Grand Avenue, has a relaxed, boutique-like feel to it; the decorative plants and wooden walls, the jazz in the background, and the calm, laid-back personalized vibe that you get when you walk in feel a lot different from the sterile-looking national retailers. SEB has about 12 different models to choose from in their showroom along with an array of therapeutic and regular pillows. They also carry certified organic mattresses for babies and toddlers. Sebastian, who has been living in the Grove since 2012, wanted to open a store closer to home that offered high quality products for everyone no matter what their budget was.
