Two Coconut Grove tours planned for Saturday
Learn all the secrets of early Coconut Grove while sippin' your way through the village as you hear the stories of sailors and settlers that built a village in a tropical wilderness. The pub crawl will pass by Taurus, Barracuda, and Peacock Garden Cafe.
The event is Saturday, December 5, from 5 to 7 pm
Cost is $50 for HistoryMiami members; $60 for non-members.
For info: citytours@historymiami.org
For a free tour, without the pub crawl, check out Saturday's Free Bicycle Tour.
On this bike tour, cruise through the verdant lanes of the South Grove, admiring our most flowery season - winter! This time of year hosts a whole new assortment of color. Visit a special orchid tree, filled with hummingbirds. The abundant, flashy sulphurs, heliconids, swallowtails and other local butterflies are sure to add that perfect touch to this ride.
The free historical bicycle tours are sponsored by the Coconut Grove BID. Please register before attending and bring sunblock, water, and a bike.
This free bike tour is Saturday, December 5 from 9:30 to noon. Meet in front of City Hall, 3500 Pan American Drive.

Paul George can point to a building or parking lot and tell a wonderful story of what used to be there, that once made Coconut Grove so very special.
