Teacher Workshop at Vizcaya

Explore issues of survival relative to a complex, multi-faceted historic site that serves as an international cultural heritage destination at the Teacher Workshop - "Issues in Preservation" at Vizcaya on Saturday, September 19 from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Participants in this workshop will explore preservation as it relates to Vizcaya's collections and architecture. Teachers will return to Vizcaya with their students for a new media-based pilot program that will also include dedicated classroom lessons and resources. The workshop targets teachers working with 9th- through 12th-grade students only.

The workshop is $20 per person, limited to 25 participants, and includes breakfast, lunch and all materials. Complimentary bus transportation and museum admission for up to 35 students are awarded to each participant upon completion of the workshop.
