'Do It For Dad' walk raises cancer awareness
The proud walkers. |
This morning, Sunday, Father's Day, the Zero the End of Prostate Cancer Miami Chapter, gathered friends to take a symbolic 3.9 miles walk to initiate the "Do It For Dad" campaign.
The walk started at Kennedy Park and headed to Peacock Park, and then went around the Center Grove. It finished with a bagel and champagne breakfast sponsored by Maria Freed and Suzanne Schlernitzauer, both ZERO Champions in Miami.
The ZERO organization raises awareness, advances research, provides education, and offers financial assistance for medications and co-pays for those battling prostate cancer. The mission is to one day have ZERO men die from prostate cancer.

It would be nice if we had known about this ahead of time.
It was by invitation only, they didn't want it publicized beforehand. I am going to ask you to stop leaving the same message all the time. It's not my job to be your social secretary. Rude person.
Thanks for the reminder. In turn, I'd like to remind some of the lovely ladies there that Obesity and Diabetes are far more common and dangerous ailments for everyone, men, women of any age. Perhaps some of you should also consider ZERO calorie products, and little running or cycling instead of the walk and the bagels?
What a nasty thing to say. Of course you have to remain anonymous Apparently you missed the entire point. If you don't like what they do, you should start your own walk
