Traffic light is needed; potholes need filling
And with the major construction going on in the Grove, we are bombarded by large trucks and machinery which have ruined the streets all over the village. Perhaps the city can hire two guys to roam the streets daily and fill in all the potholes and other damage large construction equipment has done.
Maybe those guys with the big orange thing that picks up the greenery on Fridays can do it, they are probably a big culprit in the street problems themselves. Since they are going to block the streets all day on Fridays, maybe they can fill in the potholes while they're at it.
I have spent a lot of of money more than once having car rims repaired or replaced. I called 311 to report a bunch of potholes in the North Grove almost two weeks ago. So far nothing has been done.

That intersection is extremely dangerous. I've driven through it daily for years now and saw dozens of close calls caused by people either going straight in the turning lanes or people just flat out turning because they can't see oncoming traffic. It boggles the mind that there's no turn signal there. I guess the county doesn't want to slow down the traffic flow on US1.
BTW - There's a website called seeclickfix.com which lets you report stuff like this. Most of the time it doesn't get anything done, but at least there's a record of you reporting something. Other users can vote and comment on issues as well.
All traffic heading North out of the Florida Keys must past through the 1st traffic signal on U.S. # 1 in Homestead. The North, South light turns green for 15 seconds. The East, West light is green for 75 seconds causing a back up of about 7/10 miles South to North, where all traffic on the East, West corridor passed through in about 7/10 seconds, after that there is no traffic. There have been occasions where I have driven from Coconut Grove, all the way to Homestead, rare of course, when I made the trip without having to stop at any traffic signal, it felt like winning the lottery. This is the price you pay for being born when humanity reaches 7.5 billion individuals and most desire a vehicle. I waited in traffic for about 30 minutes yesterday and was able to observe this reality. And luckily I've learned not to allow this traffic and rude drivers to increase my blood pressure. Absolutely, if you want these situations to change YOU MUST TAKE THE TIME TO WRITE THE APPROPRIATE AGENCY A L-E-T-T-E-R with details including the precise location of these problems. Jobie Steppe
