Tea with Mr. Shakespeare at The Barnacle
Bring the kids out to the Barnacle State Park on Saturday, April 25, for a relaxed day of activities in celebration of Shakespeare's birthday. Princess dresses and tiaras optional.
Yes.... there will be "rat pucking," face painting, a fairy garden, stories from Shakespeare, sonnets and the usual renaissance shenanigans.
The staged reading of "Much Ado About Nothing" is at 2:00 pm. The battle between the sexes rages on in Shakespeare's beloved comedy. Shakespeare Miami company members Alex Weiss plays Benedick, and Stephanie Genovese is Beatrice.
It's a free event with a paid $2 park admission. Noon to 3:00 pm.
The Barnacle is at 3485 Main Highway.
