Saturday's BBQ tasting and Meet and Greet

Speaking of the District 2 candidates, over 70 people came out to meet Lorry Woods, Candidate for District 2, on Saturday at a BBQ Meet and Greet in Village West. People enjoyed sampling, and voting for, the best ribs and chicken from two local small businessmen. Both men are superb at their craft and it was a close contest, with Mango Man beating out Warren on Hibiscus in both categories.  A special thanks to the Grove Deli Market on Grand Avenue for their hospitality.

It was a very hot day and the sno cones were as much a hit as the BBQ.

While enjoying BBQ, those in attendance learned more about Lorry and the work she has done to help revitalize the downtown area. Together they shared their vision for Miami.
