Grillin' in the Grove - it's all about BBQ
A myriad of BBQ offerings ranging from American styles to international will be featured on Sunday, March 8. Whether you’re itching for some Memphis, Texas or Kansas City barbecue or the well known Brazilian Churrasco and Argentine Parrillada, Grillin’ in the Grove will have it all.
Bring a lawn chair and umbrella to enjoy the barbecue prepared by a variety of local restaurants, while listening to live music. The price of food will vary depending on the vendor.
What would a festival be without some friendly competition?! Grillin’ in the Grove has lined up two contests - the Best Backyard Burger, aimed at all the home-grillers out there, and The Greatest Grill contest geared towards restaurants, that will battle it out for the festival’s first place bragging rights. Festival goers can also check out one of six cooking workshops hosted by the festival, where expert chefs will cover a BBQ specialty. Not only will they be available for a Q&A session after the workshop, but lucky members of the audience will get to taste their wonderful creations.
Grillin' in the Grove will be held at Peacock Park from 11 am to 7 pm. Pre-purchase entry tickets for $15 at grillininthegrove.com or $20 at the door. Other entry ticket options include:

There's nothing free in the new grove.soon they will be charging by the foot steps you take in the grove
$20 to get in the door? Umm, yeah I'd rather just go to a BBQ joint and skip this. That's ridiculous.
I wan to know who are the idiots that go to these things.the last comentor is right.just go to a BBQ joint
I do not understand this business model. The vendors make money from selling food. The rest goes to the organizers after getting their permits and hiring a bit of security (and of course they want volunteers)? Dumb dumb dumb dumb. I hope they cut the grass at least as opposed to that stupid grovetoberfest event i mistakenly went to.
