Silverado to the rescue
I told her a little about what I needed and she came up with some great ideas. The prices there are really not bad, she had told me that she overhears people talking outside the front window and they say that things are expensive, but they really aren't. If you haven't been there for awhile, it's worth a visit, they've come a long way from when they used to sell turquoise belt buckles.
Just entering makes you feel as if you are in another time or place. Jaquie says that people say it reminds them of the "old Grove," but I feel that it's more of a curio shop you would find in Britain or even New England. L'etoile will greet you from the corner as he lies in or beside his bed and Jacquie will help you find things in the store. Or just explore.
She's got all kinds of gifts including handbags and jewelry, but there are all sorts of trinkets and home decorations.
The remaining Christmas items are there, too, at a great price.
Silverado is at 3092 Fuller Street, across from Barracuda. They're open from 11 am to 8 pm daily. For info: 305-744-2447.
