Downtown party to introduce CitiBikes

You've probably seen the CitiBike racks going up in the Grove, there are a couple of locations, the main one seems to be in front of The Grove Spot on Virginia Street.

Saturday, December 13, is the first day that the bikes will be available all over the City of Miami, to that end, there is a celebration at Bayfront Park downtown (Flagler and Biscayne Blvd.) r4om 11 am to 3 pm.

With the expansion, in addition to providing access to locations throughout Miami Beach, the CitiBike program will now provide connections to new destinations, from downtown Miami to Coconut Grove and neighborhoods in between. So nice to be a part of this group of neighborhoods. Decobike will be running the program in Miami.
At the event downtown on Saturday there will be giveaways, free memberships, food, entertainment and bike tours.

From CitiBike Miami's website: "The solar-powered bike sharing system consists of a fleet of specially designed, sturdy, very durable bikes that are locked into a network of docking stations sited at regular intervals around a city. With a thousand bikes at a hundred stations and more on the way downtown, bikes are available to use 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

There are two distinct ways to utilize the Citi Bike program, either as a Bike Share Membership or an Hourly Rental. Here's how it works.
