"Mojito Madness" with every flavor you can imagine

They look good, don't they? This isn't clip art, it's the actual lineup of Mojitos at TK's at Villa Mayfair.

Every summer, I joke with one of my cousins that it's "Mojito Time!" She's a teacher and as soon as school is out, she's ready for a summer of her favorite drink.

And now, TK's added a new Mojito menu with 20 new Mojito flavors!

They run the gamut from the Classic Mojito with Ron Botran rum, lime juice and mojito mint to the Coconut Mojito which includes Ron Botran rum, coconut rum, cream of coconut, lime juice and mojito mint. There's also the Orange Mojito, Wild Berry, Banana Coconut and Chipotle Cacao Mojito, to name a few more.  The Chipotle one has more flavor depth. This Mojito includes muddled chipotle peppers (just an espresso spoon full) and then white crème de cacao and mint leaves are added to sweeten the spice creating a great Mojito that heats you up like a warm Miami breeze.

Island flavors include pineapple Mojito, mango Mojito, banana coconut Mojito, island Mojito and the coconut Mojito. The coconut Mojitos include cream of coconut for a delightful taste of the Caribbean. Pair any of these Mojitos with some of TK's Latin dishes for a taste just like the islands.

Using only the best, fresh ingredients, TK’s has consciously chosen to use only the juice of fresh-squeezed limes instead of lime wedges to avoid any bitterness; depending on the flavor of the Mojito, apple mint, pineapple mint or plain fresh mint is used with the other ingredients creating the base of the drink; they use crushed ice instead of using cubes so that as the ice melts, the watering effect helps to marry all of the ingredients bringing a delicious depth to each cocktail; and finally, what brings it all together is TK’s new house rum – Ron Botran – a Guatemalan rum much beloved and endorsed by Miami’s own Emilio Estefan.

While TK’s  new drinks are available everyday (all day), the restaurant has created “Mojito Madness." Beginning on September 5, every Friday from 6:30 pm to close, Latin musicians (from solo guitarists to multi-piece bands) will play live music for guests who’ll be sipping from the twenty fabulous featured flavors of Mojitos (which will be priced at the special Mojito Madness price of just $10 each). TK’s will have a cigar roller on hand as well as other great surprises.

Check them out along with lunch and dinner at TK's at 2901 Florida Avenue, for info: 305-774-1500.
