River of Art pop-up gallery at Batch Gastropub

River of Art has put a call out to artists. Life is Art, the local charity sponsors the event which features monthly pop-up art in public places shows held every second-to-last Tuesday of the month at different businesses around Miami.

This exposes the public to new artists and it showcases local businesses, as well.

Entry is $10 with RSVP or $20 without RSVP, which goes to support Life Is Art’s mission to continue to build the arts and community in South Florida. A complimentary drink and other benefits are provided with entry.

The next event is at Batch Gastropub at 30 SW 12 Street, Miami on Tuesday, June 17 from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. Featured artists include Terry Arroyo Mulrooney, Valeria Actis, Mitchell Shulman (MIOWSHU). Featured charities: Dream Defenders, Conscious Acts of Kindness. Free MIOWSHU Art pillows while they last, so be sure to get there early. Join the Conscious Acts Of Kindness Pop For Charity Dart and Balloon Game. Relive your childhood memories of going to the fair. Pop a balloon with a dart to win prizes like restaurant gift certificates, spa visits and CAOK swag.

There is no application fee for the artists and no hanging or sales fees. Usually each artist provides three to five pieces.
