During Hurricane season it's prudent to remove all major branches with off-growth angles subject to wind that breaks these type branches off. Plus remove all trees who's bases have rotted & weakened. Is this what you meant to infer anon 6:40 PM?

Giving them yearly pruning is good and necessary, stop only there before you let a dubious politicians cut trees the way it was done on Brickell. There are a few officials who's bases have rotted and weakened who should be removed from office.
