Cinema celebrated with the Film Tour Bus

As part of Film Month, which is June, exclusive Film Tours are behing hosted. The Miami Film Tour Bus is offering a behind-the-scenes, insider’s look at the locations and stories that have made the destination such an important center of film-making. The tours will include films shot and produced in Miami as well as a visit to the locations where the films were shot, while listening to a narrative on each film provided by exclusive insiders. The selected film will be screened at the end of the tour. 

Coming up are:
Sunday, June 22 – “Goldfinger” at Miami Beach Cinematheque
Sunday, June 29 – “Two Much” with Antonio Banderas, Melanie Griffith and Daryl Hannah at Miami International Film Festival/Cosford Cinema

From a new bus tour touting the destination’s famous film locations and local art cinemas, to an impressive list of influential film festivals, Miami locals have been a big part of the big screen. To celebrate the big screen’s illustrious presence in Miami, the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) partnered with MasterCard and Stella Artois to host the third annual Miami Film Month in June, with its biggest line-up of activities yet.

Miami Film Month gives visitors and residents a front row seat to the destination’s diverse film culture with discounted pricing at participating art cinemas. This includes $8 movie screenings with a Miami Film Month coupon, available online at MiamiFilmMonth.com.  

Participating cinemas include:
· Bill Cosford Cinema
· Coral Gables Art Cinema
· Miami Beach Cinematheque
· O Cinema  Wynwood
· O Cinema Miami Shores
· Tower Theater

Three film festivals have also partnered with the GMCVB to organize featured events in honor of Miami Film Month.The Miami Jewish Film Festival Summer Matinee Series will include a showing of the 1940 film “Foreign Correspondent” on June 22nd at The Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU on Miami Beach at 3pm. Tickets can be found at JewishMuseum.com.

The Miami Short Film Festival will host a special cocktail reception and screening on June 25 (starting at 7:30 pm) at Paragon Cinemas 13 in Coconut Grove. The screening will spotlight important and influential Miami filmmakers, with tickets available for purchase online at MiamiFilmMonth.com.
