"Ah, Beach We Ah Go," at Kroma
"I look for that 'Lost in the Moment' expression on the faces and in the body language of Jamaican children that I photograph for my paintings," says Jacqueline.
Jacqueline was born in Kingston, Jamaica and ened up in Brooklyn, New York after a 22 year career in the US Army. She took to painting at the University of Miami, where she received a Master's in Fine Arts.
Her paintings are a visual playground with scenes of childhood simplicity and endless vivid, bright, bold memories.
The opening reception at Kroma is on Thursday, June 12 from 6 to 9 pm. Kroma is located at 3670 Grand Avenue.
