"Natural Intersections" and twilight tour at Kampong

Experience The Kampong’s historic estate and garden at a very special time of day and view the latest art installation by Patricia Van Dalen, conceived especially for The Kampong and based on the travels made by David Fairchild in search of edible, medicinal and ornamental plants. "Natural Intersections," by Patricia and a Kampong Twilight Tour will be presented on Tuesday, May 13 from 5 to 8 pm.

Carol Damian, Director and Chief Curator of the Patricia and Phillip Frost Art Museum of Florida International University, will introduce Patricia, who will give a brief description of her installation.

There will be guided tours at 5:30 and 7 pm, as well as refreshments and the intoxicating scents of spring at The Kampong. Visitors  can enjoy mango rum punch as they explore Miami’s own secret garden.

“The Kampong is a magical place at dusk. Watching the full moon rise over Biscayne Bay is an unforgettable experience,” said Mike Maunder, Interim Director of The Kampong.
