Large menu offered at Timo's at Villa Mayfair

I hadn't been to Timo's at Villa Mayfair (2901 Florida Avenue) for awhile, but I'm glad I went back the other day. I really enjoyed lunch. And with all the new faces in the Grove, mostly office workers, it was a nice atmosphere on sleep Florida Avenue. It has been awhile because their famous "Angry Burger" which was plastered all over the place as their $9 special, is now $12. But even so, it's one of the best lunches in town. Above is the burger that a friend ordered. 

I had the Quinoa Salad ($15) which includes tomatoes, corn, fennel, spinach, cilantro,  four grilled shrimp and lemon vinaigrette. And I was also glad to see a Kale Salad ($12) which includes parmesan, dried cranberries, pine nuts, orange supremes and citrus vinaigrette. Very Italian.

There's a lot on the menu, yet the menu isn't that large. There seems to be something for everyone. There are lots of salads ranging from $12 and up. Light bites include the soup of the day ($8); BBQ Chicken Quesadilla ($12), Bang Bang Chicken Lettuce Wraps ($16), Pork Loin Pinchos ($10) and lots more.
Sandwiches include a Turkey Club, Spicy Curry Chicken Wrap, Salmon Patty Stromboli, Lox and Bagel and so much more, starting at $10. Other dishes include Capatelli Pomodoro, Spaghetti Carbonara, Mahi Fish Tacos, Skirt Steak and Eggs, and lots more, starting at $11.

Timo's is open Tuesday through Saturday. Lunch starts at 11:30 am and dinner at 5:30 pm. Happy Hour is from 3 to 7 pm.
