Center Grove Street Improvements

It's going to be messy around here for awhile. The streets are being worked on. The work is to be performed by H & R Paving, Inc., within the following areas:

 

Location A: US 1 and Grand Avenue and between SW 27 Avenue and McDonald Street

Location B: Grand Avenue and Oak Avenue and between Gifford Lane and Mary Street

Location C:  Matilda Street from Bird Avenue to just South of Jackson Avenue

 

The project consists of asphalt/pavement restoration and reconstruction, storm sewer improvements, to include the installation of French drainage systems and cleaning and desilting existing drainage structures, and pavement markings and signage within the construction limits.  Based on the nature of the construction work, there will be times when the residents will be informed of parking restrictions needed to allow the construction activity to be performed. Crews will complete the project in sections to minimize traffic congestion and allow for pedestrian access as much as possible.

 

Contractor began mobilizing Monday and will take approximately 160 days to complete the project.  Please note that this schedule could change due to bad weather or other unexpected conditions. No surprise there.

The work will be done from 8 am to 5 pm Monday thru Friday. There may be lane closures or delays.
