SPECTRUM caters to high-end collectors
SPECTRUM Miami and ArtSpot International Art Fair will be part of the Art Miami Week events this week. SPECTRUM Miami is a juried collection of contemporary art that showcases works from mid-career artists and established galleries from around the world. The show caters to high-end collectors, buyers and art enthusiasts and was created to offer gallery owners, designers, architects and collectors extraordinary works by innovative, established artists.
The art fair takes place Wednesday, December 4 through Sunday, December 8 in the heart of the Wynwood Art District, at 3011 NE 1st Avenue at NE 31st St, Miami, during Art Week Miami and alongside Art Basel Miami Beach. Featured artwork will include original paintings, photography, sculpture, mixed media, glass and limited edition prints.

The event will also include SPECTRUM After Dark, a VIP opening preview party from 6 – 10 pm on Wednesday, December 4. The preview party will include artist unveilings and musical entertainment from Miami’s DJ What, passed hors d’oeuvres and complimentary cocktails and wine from Tanduay Asian rum, Belaya Rus vodka and Repeat Wines. The evening will also feature a live photo shoot with Miami City Ballet dancers and book signing from Jordan Matter, photographer and New York Times bestselling author of “Dancers Among Us.” Jordan Matter is participating in his first-ever Art Week Miami.
Other notable exhibitors include: Gordon Huether (Napa, CA), 33 Contemporary (Chicago, IL), Selby Fleetwood Gallery (Santa Fe, NM) and Palais Royal Gallery (Moscow, Russia). There will also be a book signing by famed artist Mark Kostabi, along with other surprises.

December 5, Noon – 8 p.m.
December 6, Noon – 9 p.m.
December 7, Noon – 9 p.m.
December 8, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
*Guided tours will take place daily at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., and on Sunday at 12 noon and 3 p.m.

Tickets are $25 for the opening preview party + weekend pass
This year, show organizers have partnered with Life Is Art, a local not-for-profit organization that works to promote and support the arts and the community in South Florida through events and education. As such, SPECTRUM will donate half of its ticket sales to benefit Life Is Art and its initiatives.
