MCA offering Discovery Camp; also Open House

The Miami Conservatory of Music is offering a two day Music Discovery Camp on December 26 and 27 and again in January on the 2 and  3.  It's a fun two-day camp with hands on group lessons in piano, guitar, strings, voice and percussion.  

Students will "make their own music" which will be produced, recorded and edited for a video. This is a perfect way for children to learn about music and let's them try playing different instruments.  It's $150 for the two days and will get the kids out of the house and give them something to do during the holiday school break.

Hours are 10 am to 4 pm. There's a minimum of 10 students in each group. Group one is ages 5 to 7 and Group two is 8 to 12. The cost is $150 for both days, food not included.

Also, from December 2 to 6, the academy is holding Open House Week. MCA invites parents to tour the facility and meet the teachers and principal.  You can view the students at work and see the classrooms.
