King Mango Strut celebrates 32nd year
The Grove looked so nice as you looked from Commodore Plaza down to the Christmas tree at CocoWalk. The weird weather we've been having is throwing everything off. While it was warm and humid, it looked like fall.
Before the Strut started, some of us headed over to The Barnacle, where they were selling their famous burgers out front on Main Highway. We joked about their secret ingredient being the sea air, there is something in those burgers that's incredible. First time I ate red meat in a long time, but how could I not when The Barnacle burgers are on the barbecue.
Trina Collins lets her feelings be known.
There literally was dancing in the streets, each time one of the flatbed trucks came by with a musical group playing, the crowds went wild. People love live music.
Fred Hunt was back in town and part of the Marching Freds group as he is most years. Before I took this photo I called his name, "Fred!" and of course all of them looked over and asked, "What?" You all remember Fred from the Windisch-Hunt Gallery on Main Highway from a few years back.
And here's Anna Maria Windisch-Hunt, along with her friends Maryellen Healy and Vincent Cerniglia, all down for the strut from Lake Worth.
Lots more King Mango Strut Photos here.
And Anna Maria has some great pictures on her Lake Worth Every Minute blog here.
