Rambling through Fairchild Tropical Gardens

Under the clouds and in between the rain sprinkles, we enjoyed the 73rd Annual Fairchild Gardens Ramble. It's one event people look forward to, which ushers in the holiday season.
While the main focus is are plants, there is so much more now.

Of course food is one great aspect. These are conch fritters from the Native Conch truck.

Antiques, books, jewelry, honey and frozen desserts are a big part.

The Ramble started Friday and ends Sunday, from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Admission is $25 for adults; $18 for seniors; $12 for children 6 to 17; and free for children 5 and under and Fairchild members.
Other fun things are the Garden of Chocolate — A world of chocolate from cacao plants to homemade chocolate cookies; Nell’s Tea Garden — Tea service, umbrella tables and ladies in lovely hats serving teas of many flavors; Kid Way — Educational displays, live performances, carnival games, arts and crafts, face painting and more and the Science Trail — Speak to the scientists of Fairchild and learn about what they do.

Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden is located at 10901 Old Cutler Road, Miami. There is plenty of free parking.
