11th annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at Merrick Park

Scene from last year's event.
Uniting Miami’s local community to kick off the holiday season, Village of Merrick Park announces its annual tree lighting ceremony. Now in its 11th year, the majestic 50-foot tree decorated with over 50,000 LED lights is the undeniable symbol of the holidays in Miami.

On Thursday, November 14, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, thousands of locals will gather together for a night full of live entertainment including a visit from Santa Claus, special performances by the Coral Gables High School Choir and costumed Nutcracker stilt walkers, Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and elves.  Families can also enjoy cookie decorating, courtesy of Pottery Barn Kids and holiday ornament decorating, courtesy of Gymboree Play & Learn*. Guests are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy to the event for the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation gift drive.

Select retailers, including Emilio Robba, Azzurro Boutique, Carlo Pazolini, Adolfo Dominguez, Rugs by Zhaleh, Luggage & More, Athleta, Caché and J. Crew, will also provide shopping promotions during the event, such as special discounts or gifts with purchase.

*Activities require a charitable donation to participate.

The Village of Merrick Park is located at 358 San Lorenzo Avenue in Coral Gables.
