Duffy's excited about Fall opening in Grove

The best restaurant space in CocoWalk, perhaps in the Grove, was recently snatched up by Duffy’s Sports Grill, I mentioned it last week. The popular chain established in 1985 and based in Lake Worth, FL has grown to be the premier sports grill throughout South Florida with 24 locations dotting the southeastern sunshine coast. This is not the Duffy's that you may know on Red Road.

“We are happy to announce the addition of Duffy’s Sports Grill to our line-up of fine restaurants,” said Bob Whelan, CocoWalk’s owner. “It’s a Florida group with a reputation for quality food served in a fun, casual, sports environment. It’s a perfect fit for CocoWalk.” The well-placed location on the second floor overlooking Grand Avenue will be the new home to Duffy’s, named the Miami New Times Best Sports Bar and recognized as the premier sports themed restaurant concept in South Florida.

Andrei Pintilie, Terranova Commercial associate representing CocoWalk, says “Duffy’s and Cocowalk are a great match. Good food, modern ambiance and local history are a perfect fit for the vibe and buzz in Coconut Grove.”

The distinctly upscale sports environment, complete with all the satellite programming available, will feature more than 50 huge TVs and framed, authentic sports memorabilia. The menu features everything you’d expect from an award-winning sports grill but, to keep up their competitive edge, also includes over 20 lower-calorie dishes called “healthy options” across all menu categories.

In addition to great food and exciting sports programming, Duffy’s Sports Grill is known for 2-for-1 drinks – offered all day, every day, on everything from the bar. Locals will want to join Duffy’s free MVP loyalty program. With benefits including free birthday meals, 40% Afternoon Break discounts on food, and MVP Monday Night when every entrée is only $11.95, Duffy’s Sports Grill will keep our locals and guests coming back for more.

“As Duffy’s Sports Grill continues to expand throughout Miami-Dade County, we have had our sights set on Coconut Grove,” said Paul Emmett, Duffy’s Sports Grill President. “We look forward to joining the historic and vibrant neighborhood at CocoWalk this fall.”

I hadn't planned on asking for ads. I was just happy to see something in that big empty space. Which I think most people are.

That is nasty to say to a guy who is informing the community for free. Why? I guess you can't fight city hall.

Happy to see the Grove get some corporate restaurants. Hopefully nobody forgets Moes and Sandbar, who are owned by Grove guys...and have put up a hell of a fight thru the last few years. It can't be easy running those specials until the Grove "comes back." Think local is what I say.

This is an amazing company, with amazing service, & their food is just a bonus. I have worked on & off for them during my military service, starting in their 1st location. I have been a customer as well as staff. They are a cut above, hands down they will dominate the competition. They proved their Miami worth & abilities in July 2010 when they opened & after a few kinks, dominated their 163rd st location. Hurahh from this marine. I'm heading there today, and would be blessed & grateful to be apart of their unique family once again. Be blessed DuffY'S.... KICK ASS!!!!!
