Friday is National Grilled Cheese Day!

Each Friday is Food Truck Friday at the Coconut Grove Bank Parking lot. A few trucks show up and it's a nice way to have lunch outdoors, mix and mingle with the neighboring businesses and eat something different from the usual great food fair in the Grove. There are tables in the shade and it's really fun.

This Friday, April 12, is National Grilled Cheese Day and of course one of Friday's regular trucks, Ms. Cheezious is having a special -- it's 2 for 1 on grilled cheese sandwiches! And here's another scoop -- the Ben & Jerry's truck will be out with free ice cream! Get it, scoop?

I committed a faux pas last week -- something you shouldn't do in Food Truck etiquette -- I got a burger at the Latin Burger truck and then went to Ms. Cheezious and got napkins. That just isn't done! You get your napkins, straws, ketchup, etc. from the truck that you bought from. That's the proper way.

The trucks are at the bank parking lot (off Mary and Tigertail) from about 11:30 am to 2:00 pm.

Oh yea, congrats to Ms. Cheezious on their plans on opening a bricks and mortar restaurant in the MiMo District at 7418 Biscayne Blvd.
