"Beneath the Tuscan Sun" wine pairing dinner
La Bottega by Carmen Trigueros (3540 Main Highway) is teaming up with Old Bridge distributors to create a sumptuous repast, "Beneath the Tuscan Sun." Actually it will be beneath La Bottega, in the restaurant's for-real wine Cellar, where you can partake of a seven course Tuscan-inspired Dinner prepared by Chef Carmen, paired with Six exceptional wines from the region. $75 per person plus tax and gratuity. The pairing is Friday, June 13 at 8 pm.
First Course - Azienda Agraria Santa Lucia, Fonteblanda Maremma, Brigante Bianco Capalbio, Vermentino di Maremma Sea Scallops marinated with Vermentino, cured shrimp and crab with Tuscan sea salt, lemon-infused olive oil from Bolgheri.
Second Course - Cantine Gini Vernaccia di San Gimignano Castello di Bolgheri Quinoa d’Estate with rosemary and lavender, with sweet garlic essence.
Third Course - Castello di Bolgheri Varvàra Bolgheri Zuppa di Asparagi Asparagus bisque with a caviar quenelle.
Fourth Course - Il Grigio da San Felice, Chianti Classico Riserva Raviolo Quattro Formaggi, white truffle mascarpone sauce, opal basil.
Fifth Course - Tenuta de Seste Brunello di Montalcino Bocconcini di Vitello: Veal stuffed with spinach and melted Parmesan cheese, coated with aromatic herbs.
Sixth Course - Tenuta de Seste Brunello di Montalcino Piatto Formaggi: Sotocenere al Tartufo, Taleggio and Gorgonzola dolce, smoked almonds, homemade peach marmalade.
Dessert Course - Chocolate Mousse with raspberry coulis.
