Door to door Tequila shots
There was lots going on in Coconut Grove last night for Cinco de Mayo. We even ran into our friend Seth Peterson (center in white shirt) from Burn Notice, we caught him taking photos of tourists. He wasn't posing with them, he was actually taking their photo with their camera! He enjoyed the Cinco de Mayo festivities. He told me he had just come from George's, his new favorite restaurant in the Grove. He told me to try the lamb shank there. Above from left, Sergio and Lalo, from Jaguar, flank Tom Falco, Seth Peterson and Sandi Speier.
One of the highlights of the night was the donkey at the Sandbar. He paraded up and down the street and posed with folks.
But the best part had to be the free Tequila handed out at Jaguar! But even better, Jaguar and their Mariachis took to the streets and went from restaurant to restaurant handing out free Tequila!
Lalo, center, owner of Jaguar, did his yearly Cinco de Mayo tradition. He grabbed the Mexican flag and went restaurant hopping with his crew.
The Mariachis played for the other restaurants and some of the Jaguar staff handed out glasses of Tequila to the diners at their tables. Here you can see them in front of Le Bouchon du Grove on Main Highway.
As they marched around the Grove, people honked their horns and smiled. It was a lot of fun. They ended up at Lulu and Greenstreet and George's. The big full moon added to the craziness I'm sure. We're glad we ran into them and were able to bounce from place to place with them.
