Grovetoberfest takes over Peacock Park
Grovetoberfest was an excellent event yesterday at Peacock Park. Thousands came out to the beer festival and what was amazing is that they paid to get in. The VIP line wound around the horseshoe area at the end of McFarlane Road and went up S. Bayshore Drive past the sailing club. The cost for this was $85 per person! Regular admission was $35 per person, and that line was non-ending, people were lined up to get in the whole time.
While people paid to get in, they also paid for food at the food trucks and other things once they entered. If only our Taste of the Grove could be so successful! Grovetoberfest was an amazing event, it was well organized, it happened fast -- people were in and out between 3 and 7 pm. In between they sampled lots of craft beer, enjoyed food and live music.
