Vanilla Ice to make big Bed Race announcement

Rap and reality star, Vanilla Ice along with Mayor Tomas Regalado will make a big announcment regarding the Great Grove Bed Race on Tuesday at a local press conference. It's heating up, the time has come, the big event is a little more than a week away!

The race is Sunday, September 4 and if you have not signed up a bed yet, today, August 26, is the last day!

Thousands of people will take to the streets of Coconut Grove to watch, and participate, in the yearly charity event. It's a full day of activities, with the main event being the actual beds racing down Grand Avenue.

I've asked so many people about their beds and what their plans are, but all the teams are keeping it secret. It's going to be a lot of fun, so whether you are racing a bed or just watching, mark September 4 down as the day! The Pajama Pub Crawl is the night before. Tickets are limited to 500, you may purchase them now at a discount ($20 as opposed to $25 on crawl night).
