Pajama Pub Crawl tickets are now on sale
Last night at the Great Grove Bed Race's Get Rolling Gathering, which was held at Jaguar restaurant, the first batch of tickets went on sale for the Pajama Pub Crawl, which is the night before the Bed Race, on Saturday, September 3, the race is on September 4.
Above, holding the precious tickets, is Natalie Salas-Restrepo, part of the Bed Race steering committee, flanked by Astrid Ehrenstein, Director of Special Events and Development of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade, the beneficiary of this year's Bed Race, and Brian Davis of Barracuda Bar & Grill, also part of the steering committee.
The Pub Crawl tickets will only be sold at two locations -- Barracuda (3035 Fuller Street) and The Bookstore (3399 Virginia Street). There are only 500 openings for the crawl. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the night of the crawl. 10 Bars are involved and you get a drink and specials at each location.
Felice Dubin, co-owner of The Bookstore and part of the steering commitee, steered her way over to the Get Rolling Gathering in one of last year's winning beds -- the Grove Police's "Grove Five-O" bed, which no doubt you have seen at nauseum on the Channel 6 commercials!
If you still have not signed up to race a bed, you can still sign up until the end of the month. The form is at the Great Grove Bed Race website here. It's a fun event on September 4 and a great way to show your spirit, donate to charity and even show off your business -- it's a great marketing tool.
There are some special things happening this year, we'll announce them soon. But think fast cars -- Porsche-type fast. :)
