Local Health Center celebrates Health Center Week

Dr. Caleb A. Davis (right), president and CEO of Coconut Grove’s Helen B. Bentley Family Health Center, Inc. (HBBFHC), accepts an official proclamation from Miami-Dade County Commissioner Xavier L. Suarez (District 7) honoring the Center for its celebration of National Health Center Week taking place August 8-13.

HBBFHC is a not-for profit organization and Federally Qualified Health Center that is governed by a Board of Directors. The center has a long history of removing barriers to health care and providing comprehensive, high quality and cost-efficient health care to the underserved and uninsured residents of Coconut Grove, South Miami, Coral Gables and Miami-Dade County. HBBFHC is a Joint Commission Accredited Health Center and is the primary medical home for thousands of patients, serving as a dependable long-term solution to the growing shortage of affordable health care. There was a large turnout this week for the ribbon cutting ceremony.
