Burn Notice literally burning up the Grove!
The Burn Notice crew blew up a truck last night, right alongside their Burn Notice studio.
As usual, they made the area look like a warehouse district, adding a chainlink fence and other things to make it un-Grove-like.
So many of the scenes which look like they are in warehouse areas or hospitals or even South Beach, are shot within feet of the exclusive waterfront in Coconut Grove, home to the Burn Notice studio.
At left, you can see the burning chars of the truck in the background, behind the camera man.
You may recognize the doors in the background, behind them are the Burn Notice sets -- Michael's loft, Madeline's house, etc., they have even used those doors as other things like a hospital entrance and stuff like that.
You can see the studio is right in the center of Coconut Grove. To the left, out of shot, is Miami City Hall, right on Biscayne Bay, that's where the Lucie and Desi photos were taken. You can see the Ritz-Carlton, with the green roof across the street.
There were a few cameras to shoot the one take. Michael and Fiona, Jeffrey Donovan and Gabrielle Anwar, were filmed just before this, then everything was cleared, traffic was even stopped on S. Bayshore Drive and everything into and out of the area was haulted and they blew up the truck. At the left of the building, not seen here, is Carlito's (shown here) and next to that, Michael's loft. All in a tidy little waterfront setting, made to look like a warehouse district.
